AZ: The History of Arizona is a weekly podcast focussing on the people, places and events that made the nation’s 48th state. It’s an attempt at a comprehensive narrative history while still giving plenty of time to the individual quirks and foibles that make any place worth talking about.
David Rookhuyzen is the writer, producer, and host of AZ: The History of Arizona.
A history buff from an early age, David has lived in central and southern Arizona most of his life.
He graduated from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication with a bachelor’s degree in print journalism.
A history podcast fan for years, this is his first attempt to help guide others through the fascinating backstory we call history.
